We’re about to open registration for the next school year on Feb. 1 and wanted to let you know some of the offerings for the 2012-13 school year.

 Kindergarten:Starting Fall 2012

With all the changes to Kindergarten in California being made,The Creek Preschool &Kindergarten remains committed to providing a developmentally appropriate academic experience for all children in our school.

The birthday cutoff date for Creek Kindergarten remains Dec. 1,as the California Kindergarten is splitting its Kindergarten into regular Kindergarten (5 by Nov. 1) and “Transitional Kindergarten” (5 between Nov. 2 &Dec. 2)

In addition,while many schools are moving towards a full day Kindergarten,The Creek will continue to offer a half day academic kindergarten program from 8am -12pm Monday through Friday. With our fifteen to one ratio,quality curriculum,and excellent teacher we know that our students are getting the full kindergarten experience while still getting to be kids.

 5 Day Pre-K:Starting Fall 2012

At The Creek we’re always striving to add more value to our programs for your children.  One of the programs we would love to offer in 2012 is a Junior Kindergarten class of older Pre-K age children who may have already had a 3-day or 2-day Pre-K experience but are ready for a Bonus Year with a more academic Jr. K curriculum.

Pre-Kindergarten Age Cut Off:Starting Fall 2012 With the California change to the 2013-14 Kindergarten Cut-Off age of 5 by Oct. 1,our Pre-K students need to be 4 by Oct. 1 2012.

Preschool: Our preschool remains a 2.5 years start date,and we will continue to have an option for non-potty trained children in one of our 3’s classes.
